Oy The Federations Stevedore in Lovisa Ab offers Port Operator Services at the port of Loviisa (Valko)
The Port of Loviisa is located some 90 km east of Helsinki and has good connections by road and trains. The road and train connections to the port are in good conditions and two trains per day ensure easy delivery of goods to the port. The 9,5 metre fairway leading to the port enables berthing of large ships. We have 665 metres of quays which together with the fact that we seldom suffer from congestion helps getting the ships swiftly dischaged and loaded.
The company was founded in 1914 and has been a port operator ever since. The Company is also one of the founding members of the Finnish Port Operators Association.
The company's equipments enables different kind of cargo handling from containers and projects cargoes to bulk cargoes, but we are especially effective in the handling of sawn timber, poles and other mechanical forest industry products.
The port of Loviisa is one of the leading export ports of sawn timber in Finland.
The port of Loviisa is very seldom congested and therefore we can offer a flexible and effective cargo handling.
