Nordström Group is formed of several separate companies, the administration of which is concentrated in the corporation’s parent company, Oy R. Nordström & Co Ab, first established in 1928. The company operated until the 1970s as the holding company of the Nordström shipping company. The activity of Nordström Group can be divided into two main fields: Port and Environmental operations. Port operations are further divided into three business lines:
- Stevedoring (LFS – Lovisa Forwarding & Stevedoring)
- Ship's Clearance (Oy Aug Ljungvist Ab)
- Shipping and Forwarding (Oy R. Nordström & Co Ab)
The turnover of the Group in 2007 totalled approximately 8.4 million euros. All companies within the Group have one mutual Board of Directors.
Environmental operations are located in Porvoo, where the company has a contaminated soil reception and processing facility. The operations as a whole are concentrated on Oy Terrasor Ab
The Group also owns some real estate companies.
